About Trades Ratings.

trades-ratings.co.uk doesn't have an axe to grind nobody pays to be on this site, and we can't be persuaded to change any ratings. They are what they are!

We, at trades-ratings.com have suffered at the hands of tradespeople we knew, and thought we could trust, as well as tradespeople we picked out of the phone book. It is very hard to find someone you can trust to do a good job at a fair price. This is why we started this project.

It may seem funny to to show a tradesperson as someone who may turn up to an appointment on time, 2 hours late or even 2 days late, shrugging it off as they go, but this kind of attitude is not acceptable in the 21st century. Your home is probably your biggest investment and you deserve not to be messed around, ripped off and generally treated badly.

There are a few major "trusted trades" type sites that advertise on the telly, they depict the tradie as a cheekie chappie that'll turn up on time and do the work to schedule and on budget. Yeah Right! This is the real world, not TV Advert Land. Have you ever wondered why the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Tradespeople pay to be on these sites. We recently tried to rate somebody on one of the well known sites and the rating was refused because it wasn't positive. go on, try it yourself.

There are also Accreditations that a tradesperson can be a member of. Yippee, that's ok then. Err no it's not, even Basil Fawlty could have probably got Fawlty Towers accredited on a good day. Again, tradespeople pay to be accredited and have a nice sticker on the side of the van.

Visitors to trades-ratings.com have the expectation that the site will provide them with unbiased reviews and content for tradespeople, products and related services. Users who wish to share their personal experiences with the trades-ratings.com community provide this content. We only display it and do not alter it in any way, it is what it is!

trades-ratings.com is committed to ensuring the integrity of the content it collects and provides to its community of our users.
